Frequently Asked Questions

A few things you may want to know before getting started.

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin exploring what has brought you to counselling. We'll talk about what you're experiencing, what you hope might be different, and what you'd like support with. You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what to say or where to begin—we can figure that out together.

Yes. In-person appointments are available at my office in Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador. Virtual appointments are also available to clients located in Canadian provinces and territories where I am professionally and legally permitted to provide services.

I work with adolescents aged 16 and older, adults, and couples navigating a variety of emotional, interpersonal, relationship, and life challenges. If you're unsure whether I might be the right fit for what you're looking for, you're welcome to reach out before booking.

Yes. Your privacy and confidentiality are important parts of the counselling relationship. Information shared during counselling is kept confidential, with some exceptions where disclosure may be required or permitted by law or professional obligations. These limits to confidentiality will be reviewed with you.

There is no set schedule that works for everyone. How often we meet will depend on your needs, goals, circumstances, and preferences. We can decide together what feels appropriate and adjust the frequency of sessions as your needs change.
